Aston Martin unveiled the gorgeous DB11 Volante last week. The latest model from Aston Martin combines the beautiful lines of the DB11 Coupe and adds a soft top that can be lowered in just 14 seconds and closed in 16 seconds. It’s an elegant convertible that looks good with the top up or down.
The new model looks exceptional on the road, with a rakish profile, swept-back headlights, and streamlined hood and windshield. Chiseled character lines on the hood and flanks accentuate the vehicle’s lean profile. The C-shaped “lightblade” taillights are exactly what you want other drivers to see as you pass them on the highway. Unfurl the soft top, and you’ll find a well-appointed interior with standard Alcantara headliners and a range of luxurious finishes. Under the hood drivers will find a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG with 503 horsepower and 498 pound-feet of torque. That takes this beauty from 0-62 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds, ideal for a wind-in-your-hair jaunt in the English countryside. Our only complaint about the interior is that that the 8-inch touchscreen looks out of place in the elegant dashboard.
The new model replaces the DB9 Volante. It is almost 60 pounds lighter and 5 percent stiffer than the previous model. Let’s be honest, we probably won’t notice the ride difference, but we will notice that the trunk is 20 percent larger.
The DB11 Volante is a gorgeous new car from Aston Martin. Delivers are expected to begin in 2018 with prices starting at $216,495. I would say I can’t wait, but I can’t afford one of these bad girls. Check out our favorite pics below.
